Boredddd

So I'm here at my home school group's co-op and I'm super bored. I don't have any classes until 3:00, so I've been sitting in this same spot since 12:00. I've left the room once to see these little kids I know and once to use the bathroom. *sigh* My own thoughts tend to get very very boring after a while.

So I figured I would take these last fifteen minutes or so to blog about my boredness. It's much more fun than math. hehehe...

Sooo guess what's on tomorrow???

You guessed it, GLEE!!! Yay!!!

Also more school and Girl Scouts. But they don't really matter compared to Glee. haha ;)

Baby by Justin Bieber is now my official Monday morning song. You just can't help being happy when you listen to it. :)

I finished the second Maximum Ride book. I need my fix. I'm desperate for book three. I have to have it!!!!! haha

Well, it is time for me to go. Byee!! :)

Ahhhh!!!!!

I haven't posted in foreveeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!! It's so sad!!!! Oh well.

I have a BUNCH of things to talk about!!!!!!!!!! What to start with.....

Well, I had an awesome summer! I went to the beach for a week, and then again for 3 days, which was amazing. I don't know if I already mentioned this in another post, but I was so scared because we were going to go snorkeling and I didn't like the idea of me being on the surface with 15 feet of OPEN water beneath me. But when we went, of course, I had an awesome time and now I want to get my scuba license. lol!

Well now summer is over, and school is starting, and let me tell you. I have a WHOLE LOT of school this year. I'm taking Algebra, Latin, Physical Science, American Literature, drama, debate and economics. That might not sound like a whole lot, but the night before the last debate, I cried. It was a lot of work, and it was really overwhelming, okay? *sigh* Whatever...

ANYways, I was introduced to this amazing book series called Maximum Ride by James Patterson. They're amazing. My list of awesome books is now like this:

  1. Pendragon
  2. Maximum Ride
  3. Whatever my third favorite book is
lol. Well, I guess I'll give you a little summary of what Maximum Ride is about.

Max Ride is your normal everyday average girl. Except for the fact that from the ages of 0-10 she was genetically altered by mad scientists at this place called 'the School'. What did they do to her, exactly? Well for one, she's only 98% human. She just so happens to be 2% avian, and she has wings that she can fly with. Just like the rest of her "family"- Fang, Iggy, Nudge, the Gasman (Gazzy), and Angel. But, you know. Minor details.

Now you're thinking "why do they have wings? what's the point of that? why did they have to be taken from their parents the minute they were born?" Well, hold your horses. I will tell you, if you calm down.

Maximum Ride* is going to save the world.

Soooo yeah. It's a pretty freakin' awesome book series. I'm only on book two (out of six, almost seven) and I'm already in love with Iggy, the blind kid. (By the way, Max, Fang and Iggy are 14, Nudge is 11, Gazzy is 8, and Angel is 6) He's so awesome. I mean, he's BLIND and he can cook. He also can make a time bomb without exploding himself, and that's pretty cool too, I guess. And he's just so adorable.

[game show host voice] Well, that's all for today folks! Stay tuned for next time on another episode of....

CONFESSIONS OF A BROWN-EYED GIRL! [/game show host voice]

*Max, Nudge and Angel are girls. Fang, Iggy and Gazzy (he's has really bad gas...) are boys.

South Florida

So I'm in south Florida right now. I'm with my friends that live here. We just had watermelon and brownies. :D

I swear, their house is the only place I've ever been where we have lot's of sugar at 10:30 at night. hehehe...

So I'm feeling obsessed with makeup right now. I'm thinking that I'm going to order my Coastal Scents 88 Original Eyeshadow Palette and 10 Piece Professional Blush Palette this weekend. I can't wait to get them!! The colors are sooooooooooooooooo concentrated and bright!! I loveeee them to the second power.

I'm also going to get some Psssssst! dry shampoo. My friend got it today and I used it (my hair was kind of greasy today), and it was absolutely amazing!! It's so inexpensive and it works soooo well!! A lot of famous stylists use it. And by the way, it's not for when you just don't feel like showering. It's for if you had a really great hairstyle (such as curls or a blowout) and you didn't want to get it wet and ruin it, so you just use Psssssst!. I am so getting it.

Oh yeah, and today I got some Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush in Pink Voyage. It works really well. It goes on so smooth, it doesn't leave any harsh lines, and since it's a mousse it blend in so much better than a powder blush. And, the best part was that I got it from the Dollar Tree!!!! They always have a lot of Maybelline products at the Dollar Tree, and so it's great for if you want to just test a color and see if the shade works on you, but you don't want to blow a bunch of money.

So, as you can see, this is kind of turning into a makeup blog, not just a life blog. Well, it's actually going to be about whatever I feel like talking about. lol! So let's call it a "Random-Subject-Blog". :D

Also, I hate the word "blusher". Why can't you just say "blush"? I know, it's just another way of saying it or something like that, but I HATE that word. I don't know why. But I do.

But I do like babies. They're cute.

Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit's Melissa!!!!

I'm baaaaaaaaack!!!! Didja miss me?? Wait, what am I, crazy?? Of course you did!!

Okay, so maybe I'm being a bit over-dramatic, but whatever. I know of at least one person who missed my blogging.

So, what have I been doing? Let's see...

I went to Philly in NYC. What did I do there? Well, get ready for a ride...

Day 1, Fri.: Airplane, 8 AM. Arrive in Philly at around three. Hang in hotel room for about an hour. Go to dinner for Aunt at 4:00. Walked in shoes that rubbed. Painful. Went home.

Day 2: Graduation. Went to teeny little reception afterward. After that, went to FABULOUS French bistro called Parc. Amazing. Later went to a party. Left early. It was boring. My aunt stayed longer.

Day 3: Went to Independence Hall, saw the site of Benjamin Franklin's house, saw where the latter was buried, went to the Eastern State Penetentiary.

Day 4: Took train to NYC. Left and 3:37, got there at around 5:00. Took subway to Lex. and 77th and walked to 74th and 2nd to our apartment. Walked around the neighborhood (it's a big neighboorhood. It's NY. lol), and then went to the local market to get stuff for dinner.

Day 5: Went to the Tenement museum. Went to a really cool used bookstore with a coffee shop. All the proceeds went to helping homeless people and people with AIDS/HIV. Later went to a vegetarian dim sum place in Chinatown. Took subway up to Macy's. Had hot cocoa in Macy's. It was good. Next, we went to Forever 21. Oh, and the entire day, it was 48ºF and pouring rain. :P

Day 6: Woke up. Went through Central Park. Went to Strawberry Fields and saw the Imagine thingy. Went to American Museum of Natural History. Went to Alice's Tea Cup. Awesomeness.

Day 7: Walked a lot. Went on the highline. Also went to the Intrepid museum. Which was boring. By this time, my feet were dead. After that, we walked down to Times Square and saw fun things there. Went into the Wicked theater. The Addams Family theater looked cool. Saw the "naked cowgirl". Also weird people, announcing weird things on the street corners.

Day 8, Fri.: Woke up. Went to Lower East Side. Went to the MoMA store. Got stuff. Walked around. Went to a park. Sat around. Walked back to room. Got luggage. Took taxi to airport. Sat in airport. Got on airplane. Flew. Got home.

So that's a brief description of what I did in Philly and NYC. :)

It was really fun. I had a great time. Though, if I ever go to NYC again, I'm going shopping more. A LOT more. Because the only clothes store I went into (besides Macy's, but we weren't in there to get anything) was Forever 21. And we have those at home. So it wasn't that exciting. :P

So yesterday I went to the Orlando Outlet Mall with some friends. I got some Lady Gaga-esque sunglasses from Forever 21. :D I also got some blush and shimmer-stuff from the Victoria's Secret outlet, which was amazing, by the way.

So I'm going to get the 88 Original Eyeshadow Palette, blush palette, and blush/contour palette from Coastal Scents. My friend has them, and she let me use them, and OH. MY. GOSH. The eyeshadow is so amazingly pigmented, you would not believe it. Same with the blushes. So I'm definitely getting them. :D

We're going shopping again tomorrow, but this time we're going to the Florida Mall. Mainly for Sephora. :D We're also going to...

MOCHI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you've never been to Mochi, then your life has amounted to nothing.

Okay, not really, but still. You need to go. I don't care if you live in China. You need to fly to Florida (Orlando, Jacksonville, or Gainesville), and go to Mochi. And, FYI, Mochi (the place I'm talking about, not the rice-flour treat) is a self-serve frozen yogurt "cafe". It's amazing. Go. NOW.

So I can't wait for that.

If you can't tell.

So, I think I'm done now. I'm back, and better than ever. I guess. lol

So I promise that I'll update more. Pinkie promise. Okay, not a pinkie promise, because if I break the pinkie promise, then you'll break my pinkie, promise.

Sorry. I just had to say that. haha

Besties Rock

So I'm talking to one of my bestest friends in the whole wide world. She's pretty awesome.

Now let's see... What did I do today... I worked. That's about it.

Then I came home. Watched some TV. Played on Polyvore. Did random things.

And then I got on Facebook and talked to my bestie.

SHOUT OUT TO ALL OF MAH BESTIES!!

I LOVE YOU GUYS!!

So this is going to be a pretty short post as I am tired. haha

BTW, I didn't go to the Dali museum. *sigh* Oh well.

But I'm going to a friend's house tomorrow (the one who I am currently speaking to) and then I get to see a bunch of friends on Saturday. So it's all good. :)

Anyways, I best be off to bed.

Alice's Tea Cup and other fun things

So my sad attempt to be fun didn't work.

So I'm retiring the whole "Question of the Day" thing.

At least until I get more followers.

ANYways.

It turns out that I'm NOT going to the Salvador Dali museum today. I'm going tomorrow. In fact, I might not even be going at all. Which makes me very sad, as I've wanted to go there for about 4 years. *sigh*

But now I'm going to talk about something awesome.

At least, to me.

In New York, at the NBC headquarters, there is a special ticket that you can get that not only lets you take a tour of the NBC HQ, but a special tour of how they make Wicked. O_O They don't actually bring you backstage, but they do bring "the backstage out to you" or whatever. So basically they tell you all the tips and tricks of showbiz, how they make the sets, how they came up with the idea, things you might not have noticed during the musical, et cetera. And THEN, when the tour is over, you get to have a Q&A session with the cast of Wicked!!!!!!!!!!!! Not Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth and all them, of course, but the people who are in the Broadway roles now. :D

But, sadly, that special tour only runs on Saturdays, and I... *sobs* Won't be there on Saturday!!!!!!!! *cries histarically*

For those of you who don't know (which is everyone except for Sarah Grace), Wicked: The Musical is my favorotist musical in the whole entire WORLD. So therefore, the fact that I won't be in New York until Saturday saddens me.

Oh well. At least I'm going to New York. :D I can't wait! I really can't wait to go to the American Museum of Natural History. I love museums, FYI. The Tenement museum sounds kind of cool, too. I'm being forced to there, though.

There's this restaurant in the Upper East Side called Alice's Tea Cup. They have like tea there and stuff. But it's like totally decorated like Alice in Wonderland and I really, really, REALLY want to go there. Like, REALLY bad.

Anyways, I hear my over-1000-word project for World History calling me... *sigh*

Rain, rain, go away...

So last night there was this HUGE storm. Definately not like the ones we've had before, but it was still pretty bad. At one point there was lightning, and then dead silence, and then......................

BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And then there were quieter (quietER, not quiet) rumbles of thunder for about 20 seconds longer, non-stop. Craaaazyyyy.

And I don't mind rain and thunder, just as long as:

A) I'm not in a car.
B) The thunder isn't crazy loud.
and
C) There isn't a tornado, tornado watch/warning, or hurricane or hurricane watch/warning.

But as I live in central Florida, there is usually always a tornado watch/warning.

Which kind of irritates me because when I lived in south Florida, all we had were hurricanes. And when we moved up here I didn't really think that there would be any of those. But no. Boy, were we wrong. The year after we moved here there were, like, 4 or 5 of them.

And on TOP of all the hurricanes, we have tornadoes, which I only thought happened in the mid-west and places like that. You know, "Oh no, Toto! There's a twister! Auntie Em, Auntie Em!" and all that jazz.

But anyway, I never got to go to the Dali museum. But that's okay, because we're going tomorrow. :D

And also, my tea party went really well. We had tea (well, I had water), croissants, and chocolate chip cookies!!!!!!! :D I loveeeeeee chocolate chip cookies. Mainly the raw kind. Mmmmm.....

I have yet to paint my nails, as I can not find my nail polish remover... But I figured out what color I'm painting them. :)

P.S. The question of the day is still going (read my previous post if you don't know what I'm talking about): If you could eat anything all day long, what would it be, and why?
